Ingredients
- 200 g liquid milk
- 30 g unsalted butter
- 2 g salt
- 1 egg
- 70 g granulated sugar
- 5 g vanilla essence
- 140 g rice flour
- 20 g tapioca flour
- 15 g cocoa powder
- Innova Choco Chips as needed
Instructions
1. Heat the Liquid Ingredients
- Add the milk, unsalted butter, salt, and granulated sugar into a saucepan.
- Heat until warm; do not let it boil.
- Turn off the heat and let it cool slightly.
2. Prepare the Batter
- In a mixing bowl, lightly beat the egg and sugar until combined.
- Pour in the warm milk mixture (make sure it is not too hot to avoid cooking the egg).
- Mix well.
3. Mix the Dry Ingredients
- In a separate bowl, combine:
- rice flour
- tapioca flour
- cocoa powder
- Mix well and sift to remove any lumps.
4. Strain the Batter
- Strain the batter into another bowl to achieve a completely smooth texture.
5. Bake
- Pour the batter into a butter-greased baking pan.
- Sprinkle Innova Choco Chips on top.
- Bake at 170–180°C for about 30 minutes until the top rises and develops beautiful cracks on the surface.
6. Cool Down
- Once baked, let it cool for about 15–20 minutes.
- The buttertteok will become chewier as it cools
