Ingredients
Sponge Cake Ingredients:
- 200 grams all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 50 grams cocoa powder
- 100 grams butter
- 100 grams granulated sugar
- 100 grams brown sugar
- 3 teaspoons instant coffee powder
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 200 ml buttermilk
Decoration:
- 100 – 150 grams CHOCKELY SHAVING
Layers: Combine all ingredients
- 100 grams CHOCKELY PREMIUM
- 75 grams butter, melted
- 20 grams powdered sugar
Instructions
- Grease two 20 cm diameter, 3 cm high round baking pans with margarine. Line the bottom with parchment paper and grease with margarine. Preheat the oven to 180ºC. Sift the flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder, set aside.
- Beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy and thick, add the coffee powder, stir with a spatula until mixed. Add the eggs one at a time, beat well. Add the vanilla essence.
- Add the flour mixture little by little, alternating with the buttermilk, stirring gently until smooth.
- Pour the batter into 2 baking pans and bake in the oven for about 45 minutes until done. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Remove the cake from the pan and place on a wire rack to cool completely.
- Place 1 cake on a turntable and spread with the filling. Top with the second cake.
- Spread the remaining filling over the entire surface, then decorate the entire cake with grated chocolate. Cut the cake into pieces as desired and serve.
