Ingredients
Dough Ingredients:
- 130 g Butter
- 80 g Margarine
- 50 g Icing Sugar
- 1 g Salt
- 2 Egg Yolks
- 25 g Milk Powder
- 20 g Cornstarch
- 300 g Low-Protein Flour
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine butter, margarine, icing sugar, and salt. Mix until just combined — do not overmix.
- Add the egg yolks and stir until evenly blended.
- Then add milk powder, cornstarch, and flour. Mix until the dough becomes smooth and can be shaped.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.
- Take 8 g of dough, flatten it, fill with 4 g jam, and roll into a ball — this forms the body.
- Take another 6 g of dough, flatten it, fill with 2 g jam, and roll slightly oval — this forms the head.
- Attach the head to the body and press gently to secure.
- Shape a small piece of dough into a beak, and use sesame seeds or a toothpick mark to make the eyes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 140–150°C (284–302°F) for about 25 minutes.
- For a glossy golden finish, brush the surface with egg yolk and bake again for an additional 5–10 minutes.
