- 1 sheet of Unclely Puff Pastry
- Croner Pectin Blueberry, as needed
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar, as needed for dusting
Instructions
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 190–200°C (374–392°F).
- Line a baking tray with baking paper or lightly grease it with butter.
Cut the Puff Pastry:
- Take 1 sheet of puff pastry and let it soften slightly for easier cutting.
- Use a heart-shaped cutter to cut out the pastry. Make sure to cut an even number of pieces, as they will be stacked in pairs.
Add the Filling:
- Place one heart-shaped pastry piece as the base.
- Add about 1 teaspoon of Croner Pectin Blueberry in the center (avoid overfilling to prevent leaking during baking).
- Cover with another heart-shaped piece of puff pastry on top.
Seal the Edges:
- Press the edges gently using your fingers or a fork to seal, ensuring the filling stays inside while baking.
Brush with Egg Wash:
- Lightly beat the egg, then brush it over the top of the pastry using a pastry brush. This will give the pastry a beautiful golden and glossy finish once baked.
Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastries are puffed and golden brown.
Cool and Dust:
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
- Finish by dusting with powdered sugar for a delightful touch.
